Name: Tim Stirland
Donut Round is the amalgamation of my passions and journey over the last 25 years of Brixton living. Having worked as a musician for 15 years in the 80s and 90s, I discovered many other interests and aims. In the gaps between recording and touring, I started to try other avenues of work, such as working in commercial kitchens - eventually becoming 'head chef' in a restaurant in Clapham in 1990. I had also dicovered the world of London cycling - becoming a fully accredited cycling instructor in 2009. After a chance meeting whilst on holiday in 2013 with the amazing 'donut professor'...as we like to call him!... the time seemed right to start the process that has led to the beginning of Donut Round as a unique and new street food producer in Brixton. We are also very excited about being part of the local and wider community and will be forging links with other small and independent producers in conjunction with local organisations to adopt a 'giving back' role - all from our new base in Pop Brixton!
Donut Round is now based in our brand new shared unit in Pop Brixton. We prepare the natural batter and organic toppings in our purpose built kitchen in 'Makers Corner' in Pop. We will be cooking and meeting you lovely people from our beautiful Donut Trike in and around the Pop site. We create the very best in quality fresh, hot and natural Donuts...just for you and yours!
